A charity golf day has raised an amazing £4,053.63 for Basildon University Hospital’s Breast Unit Fund (BUST) and event organiser, Allan Brodie, presented the cheque to Breast Unit staff on 21 November.
Criteria-led discharge to be implemented on Kate Evelyn Luard ward in Basildon Hospital.
Kate Evelyn Luard (KEL) ward is an elective orthopaedic ward caring for patients from a range of age groups who require elective orthopaedic surgery and need to stay in hospital for up to three days. They will be implementing criteria-led discharge from Wednesday, 5 December.
Please refrain from visiting friends or relatives if you have any cold or flu like symptoms, in order to prevent transmission of infection to both the patient you are seeing and other vulnerable patients on the ward.
