The Council of Governors acts as a communications channel for our Foundation Trust Members. Their role is to make sure that Members’ views are represented when important decisions are taken about your services, or the future direction of the organisation.
Under the 2012 Health and Social Care Act, the council of governors has two main duties:
- to hold the non-executive directors individually and collectively to account for the performance of the board of directors;
- to represent the interests of the members of the trust and the public.
