I understand

If you have a positive pregnancy test and wish to have your baby under the care of Basildon University Hospital, you can now contact a midwife direct without having to see your GP first.

How to contact us

The best way to get in touch is by emailing with your name, daytime and evening contact telephone number and GP details.

A qualified midwife will contact you by telephone within seven days to take further details regarding your medical history and any problems you may have had with previous pregnancies, and an appointment will be made for your first scan. Your named community midwife will then contact you to arrange to meet with you and to book further appointments.
