At Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals NHS Trust we have an integrated Multi/ inter-disciplinary team formed by psychologists, physiotherapists, pain doctors and pain nurses; that offer a Pain Management Service to inpatients and outpatients. For inpatients we provide state of the art analgesia for post operative pain. We also treat patients with more complex pain management needs whilst they are in Basildon Hospital.
Our chronic Pain Management Service offers clinics at Orsett Hospital Outpatients Department. We offer a comprehensive service for the population of South West Essex.

Advanced Neuromodulation is a specialist service offered to people living any where in the country.
Advanced Neuromodulation is suitable for people with mainly neuropathic pain that has been refractory to all other treatment modalities. BTUH is established as a world leader in this modality of treatment and has published original research in peer reviewed journals. Prior approval is sought by the consultant from NHS South West Essex for these treatments.
Clinics
Specialist clinics include a Refractory angina service and speciality clinic for advanced Neuromodulation this clinic takes place on a Friday afternoon at Orsett Hospital.
