NEW SYSTEM
Access via eRS (Electronic Referral System or Choose & Book)
The new service on eRS offers the opportunity for GPs to seek advice via an electronic 'conversation' with a hospital consultant. GPs can send requests via eRS, with supporting information and attachments. GPs can expect a reply from the hospital within two working days.
There is a phased introduction of specialties that will offer this service.
