The older peoples wards based at Basildon University Hospital, provide assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for older patients with medical conditions. The wards have a multidisciplinary approach to caring for patients to ensure progress is monitored and plans are developed for ongoing care whether it is home, or another care setting.
Lionel Cosin is a general medical ward specialising in acute medical care of older female patients and provides medical support to older patients on the orthopedic ward. The ward provides general medical care for older people and accepts emergency admissions.
