Key InformationChelmer ward looks after the patient on admission and then after their operation until their day of discharge . The ward has been designed to allow every patient a large amount of bed space and with excellent views out onto the Essex countryside. Chelmer has sixteen single bed rooms all with en-suite facilities. There are also four 4-bedded bays each having their own separate shower and toilet facilities adjacent to the opening of their bay. Indeed the compliment of beds have been allocated the right amount of space and location to ensure same sex accommodation is guaranteed and the risk of infection reduced to virtually zero level. The staff on Chelmer ward take a great pride in caring for their patients ensuring that their needs are individually assessed and care delivered in a dignified and discrete manner. The ward normally receives patients on the evening prior to surgery or for some this may be the day of surgery. Most of your tests would have been performed prior to admission but their may be some routine ones performed when you arrive on the ward. The ward has its own Doctors who, along with the nursing staff, will clerk you onto the ward. The nursing staff will be available to you 24 hours a day to provide you with support, help and advice when required to do so. Number of Beds: |
