A stunning display of original photographs and paintings is brightening the corridors of Basildon University Hospital. The artwork, by students and graduates of South Essex College, has been loaned to the Trust by the Faculty of Media and Creative Arts.
The Trust has allocated the area, near to the X-ray department, as part of a long-term collaboration with the college and new pictures will be displayed every six months.
This week (23 October) Abi Thompson, Head of Fine Art, (above, right) at the college, visited the hospital with some of the students to view the collection.
Rob Speight, Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities, and Neville A. Brown, public governor of the Trust, thanked the college for lending the artwork.
Abi Thompson said: "It is a real encouragement for students to have the chance to display their work in public, and we hope that patients and visitors will enjoy their work."
